Located next to Plaça Catalunya and Las Ramblas, the HOTEL DUQUES DE BERGARA lies in the very heart of Barcelona. This beautiful 4 star hotel is housed in a Modernist building built in 1898 by the famous architect Emilio Salas y Cortés (a professor of Gaudí).
The magnificent entry hall with the marble staircase leading to the first floor has been preserved from the original building. On the first floor you can find impressive mahogany doors of Cuban origin and the original molded ceiling and dome. Along the building's main staircase, the wrought iron handrail has been preserved and the original paintings restored.
Renovated in 1998 the HOTEL DUQUES DE BERGARA has 145 rooms and 3 suites. All rooms are fully equipped for maximum comfort with interactive satellite TV with pay-per-view movies, Canal +, minibar, safe deposit box and air conditioning.
Guests can also use the exclusive services of an outdoor swimming pool, solarium and parking facility or enjoy a meal in the hotel's "El Duc" restaurant which serves delicious Mediterranean cuisine in a delightful atmosphere.
The hotel has 7 fully equipped rooms available to hold events such as conventions, meetings or banquets.
